Professional Profile


With strong educational background added with 32 years of successful professional experience in varied facets of pharmacy profession, B.G.Mohandas headed the pharmaceutical division of a leading health care group in U.A.E till Dec 2006. His outgoing nature coupled with knowledge of pharmaceutical selling and the initial pharmacy background inspired him to take up challenging career in pharmaceutical selling in 1986. From a job of Medical Representative to now - a career of 20 years in selling is a successful saga of sincere hard work inspired by motive to excel and achieve. During these years, Mr.Mohandas has managed all the key elements of pharmaceutical marketing by formulating innovative marketing strategies and has proven record in product, brand management and man power management with an ability to build strong business relationship.

One of the recent milestones of his career was the launch in 2005 of Neopharma - a new Pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi. He has spearheaded the whole launching phase with stupendous success.

Being responsible member of the organisation, he manages all functions of planning, budgeting, warehousing, establishing new business, new product introduction, strategy formulation, distribution network, market plan and implementation of the business plan in his current assignment as Country Manager of the Pharma Division.

New products launching has given him valuable experience in market research, identification of target market, implementation of marketing tools like market opportunity analysis, target market selection, market mix development, effective market management to earn valuable market share.

In his long marketing career, he has promoted products ranging from highly delicate vaccines, new antibiotics and cardiac products to OTC supplementary products like vitamins which imparted valuable experience that enabled him to successfully handle a General Practitioner to a high profile consultant.

Many years of his service as a Chief Pharmacist, Community Pharmacist, Asst. Professor, and later as Sale Supervisor, and as Manager – have taught him the fundamentals of human behavior and in turn strengthened his ability in successful manpower management and build a strong Team. Effective communication, negotiation skills, sincere approach to solve a problem and ability to adopt to change are his hidden skills.

During his earliest stint as Chief Pharmacist and Community Pharmacist for more than a decade he had opportunities to undergone training in material management and he has successfully handled the whole system of Inventory control, store management and customer relation independently and quite splendidly.

Experienced in all the above facets Pharmaceutical management and marketing, he trains, motivates and led from front a team of fifty professionals in recent job as Country Manager.
